AIRTREKKING FROM LODGE TO LODGE
 

On this unrivalled journey you will visit two great wilderness lodges in southern und eastern Yukon Territory. You will travel by floatplane from Whitehorse to Tagish Lake and from there to Frances Lake. Later in the trip you’ll enjoy more birds-eye views as you go further on. The lodges offer European style hospitality and a true respite from stresses of every-day’s life. The wide varieties of day activities include paddling, boating, fishing, hiking, historic exploration, and in fall you may catch the first northern lights of the season.

2 to 4 guests per trip

Rates:

for 2 guests               $4620 per person + 5% GST (double occupancy)
for 3 - 4 guests          $4330 per person + 5% GST (double occupancy)
single supplement     $ 850 + 5% GST

- Transfer between Hotel and floatplane base in Whitehorse
- Flights with floatplane as per itinerary
- Accommodation and all meals at both wilderness lodges

Itinerary:
Day 1: you arrive in Whitehorse at your leisure and overnight in a downtown Hotel.

Day 2:  In the morning we pick you up at your Hotel and drive to Schwatka Lake, about 10 minutes from town. There you board a floatplane that brings you to Tagish Wilderness Lodge. The flight takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival you will settle down in your cozy log cabin.

Day 3 & 4:  The region around Tagish Lake is a great hiking location and there are also mountain bikes and canoes available at no extra charge. Tagish Lake also offers great boating on the large lake with awesome mountain views.

Day 5:  After breakfast the floatplane arrives to pick you up for your flight to Frances Lake. Enjoy the breathtaking bird eyes view on this 90 minute flight. At Frances Lake you will again be welcomed by the friendly hosts. A nice lake shore cabin will be ready for you.

Day 6 & 7:  Frances Lake is unparalleled for many water related activities. Discover a secluded bay by canoe, take a kayak to the beaver lodge or explore the abundant Hudson’s Bay trading post. Frances Lake Lodge also offers many guided excursions at no extra cost.

Day 8:  As arranged the floatplane picks you up for the trip back to Whitehorse. Once more you’ll be stunned by the vast unspoiled landscape. After about 90 minutes you’ll land on Whitehorse’s Schwatka Lake. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 9: You continue your journey on your own itinerary.

- Meals in Whitehorse
- Alcoholic beverages
- Angling license
- Personal expenses

Things to know:
Capacity at the lodges is limited. Therefore last minute bookings may be difficult to accommodate. Trip cancellation, travel and medical insurance must be obtained by the traveler. Changes in the itinerary due to weather must be considered. Baggage allowance on the floatplane is somewhat limited. Please pack accordingly or be ready to leave some less essential belongings in the hotel.
